Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 17, 2026
OnClock ("OnClock," "we," "our," or "us") is developed by Haider Ali. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the OnClock mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
OnClock is designed to keep your work data private. Your shifts, jobs, notes, pay settings, and app preferences are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, can sync through your personal iCloud account.
- Apple ID identity: When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide an app-specific user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name or email address.
- Shift and work data: Clock-in/out times, break durations, jobs, notes, tags, pay rates, overtime settings, deductions, and related records are stored locally and may sync through iCloud.
- Optional job images: If you choose a photo for a job avatar, OnClock stores a small copy inside your OnClock data on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your personal iCloud account.
- Optional work ID images: If you choose to upload a work ID image for a job, OnClock stores that image locally on that device only. Work ID images are excluded from backups and are not synced to iCloud by OnClock.
- Location for weather: If you grant location permission, OnClock uses your approximate/current location to show local weather and day/night visuals on the Clock screen. Apple Weather is used first. For U.S. locations, OnClock may use the National Weather Service as a fallback if Apple Weather is unavailable on your device. OnClock does not sell your location or use it for advertising.
- Calendar access: If you grant calendar permission, OnClock can create or sync shift-related calendar events when you choose to use that feature.
- Notifications: If you grant notification permission, OnClock can send local reminders for clock-out, breaks, and workday events.
- Subscription status: Purchases and subscription status are handled by Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
OnClock does not use third-party advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell your personal data.
- No advertising identifiers are collected.
- No third-party analytics SDK is included.
- No contact list, microphone audio, browsing history, or health data is collected by OnClock.
3. How Data Is Stored
Your work data is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, Apple may store and sync your data through iCloud/CloudKit for your Apple ID. iCloud availability and security are governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policies. Optional work ID images are stored locally on the device where you add them and are not synced by OnClock.
4. AI Insights
OnClock may provide private work insights based on your saved shift history. These insights are intended for convenience and personal organization. They are not financial, tax, legal, payroll, or employment advice.
5. Account Deletion and Data Deletion
You can delete your OnClock data from inside the app. Deleting app data does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed in your Apple ID subscription settings.
6. Children's Privacy
OnClock is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
